Appsterdam Monthly Game Day!

Bring out your favorite board games, card games, tablet games, ANY games, so we can all have fun just playing games! We'll provide some beverages, but feel free to bring more drinks and snacks to share.

You're welcome to pop in anytime. And afterwards, we usually go out to have dinner together somewhere nearby.

About Appsterdam Weekend Fun:

Appsterdam Weekend Fun is a time for all Appsterdammers to get together in an informal way, outside of the bar meetups, where people of all ages are welcome. As Mike wrote in his blog: "Getting to know each other’s families will help us to get to know each other better. It is one step past the Meeten en Drinken on the path to forming true friendships within our community."

Everyone is welcome to attend: you, your colleagues, children, partners, parents, grandparents.. EVERYONE! In the past, we've visited the Artis Zoo, NEMO Science Center, De Hortus Botanicus, and more. We hope to see you soon!

Many thanks to our host, Bouncespace, for generously providing space!

If anyone is interested in hanging out afterwards, there's a really interesting film program that Olga told me about.

Door opens at 19:30, €4 per person.
    20:00 Introduction by Jeffrey Babcock
    20:15 Hunger (1966)
22:30 Shorts films with Italian comedian Totò

Hunger (1966) by Henning Carlsen, DK, 112 min. English subtitles.
Based on the novel by Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun, Henning Carlsen's film adaptation of Hunger tells the story of a man whose total dedication to literature costs him his health and perhaps sanity. The Sunday Monster + What are Clouds? (40 min. total)
The Italian comedian actor Totò was almost a God in Italian cinema. During his last days before he died he began an incredible filmic relationship with Pier Paolo Pasolini. Totò's last performances were in two short films made in 1968, which we will show tonight as a tribute to the great actor.
