MSA Arabic ( الفصحى اللغة العربية ) - Weekend Group

Greetings everyone,

In January of 2014 I begin my fourth semester of Modern Standard Arabic at UTA and I am retooling the meetup to a more academic setting - I need lots of review and practice. As such, the weekly meetups will be focused on content from the books "Arabic for Life" and "Al-Kitaab" plus a few others.

Generally the first part of the meetup will focus on vocabulary, phrases, grammar, and reading material from the textbooks. The second part will be unstructured, ad-hoc conversation practice.

In this meetup, we will do a quick review of the material covered to-date. The worksheets and texts are located here:

• Al-Kitaab Chapter 1 Review

• Al-Kitaab Chapter 2 Review

• Al-Kitaab Chapter 3 Review

• Al-Kitaab Chapter 4-A Review and My brother and I

• Holiday Gifts

Then we will complete the Al-Kitaab Chapter 4 review: Our primary focus will be to review the nominal and verbal sentence structures, and secondly to review the case markers. After the grammar review, we will read the short story Long live justiceI will post the review sheet later this week.

Note: Please print and bring a copy of each for your personal use. I will have two extra copies just in case.

Come, let's learn together :)

اهلا وسهلا بكم

I got here early, in the coffee shop, but have not seen anyone. If you're having trouble finding me I am by the exterior entrance to the coffee shop, wearing a green sweater and jeans. There is a small "Dallas Arabic Language Caraban" sign on the table.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
