We are adults of all ages interested in learning about and preserving Arizona's ancient peoples and cultures. Join us for hikes to hidden ruins, educational presentations, advocacy, achaeological fieldwork and fun!

We meet the second Tuesday of the month at Glendale Library at 7:00pm (in September the start time will be 6:30pm for a special presentation on rock art of Arizona).

Hikes and projects happen every month. Come learn more!

All are welcome!

What members are saying

Imagine hiking to an area where one can view images chiseled in rock centuries in the past! What was this language of symbols? What was daily life like for these ancient peoples?

Great group of folks willing to share their time and knowledge in the topics and hikes presented.

“I have always loved going to archaeology sites in NM, AZ and CO. My last experience was at Chaco National Park in NM. It was sort of spooky at night but that was a great thrill.”

“I too once considered this field as a career. I am not patient enough to really do the excavation so I moved on to less anthrocentric career area of ecology. I am still fascinated about how we learn more through these studies.”
