Houseboat Trip to Lake Powell

Event fee: $100.00 per person

We have rented a 54-foot houseboat for memorial day weekend. The cost should be around $100 per person, plus gas. We will carpool as many people as possible for the ride up there. We will leave on Thursday night after work at 7:00 pm to head up to the marina.

We will camp at the Page - Lake Powell Campground (PLPC) on Thursday night in Page, Arizona. Click here for a map to the campground.

Friday we board the boat at 9:00 am and return on Monday around 2:00 pm.

You will need a sleeping bag, tent if you want to sleep on the beach, ice chest full of food and drink, 2 bags of wood, fishing tackle if you want to fish and money for gas.

A really cool trip and the fishing is fantastic. Try to imagine the Grand Canyon with a lake at the bottom. That is exactly what Lake Powell is like.

All gear will be loaded on the big houseboat.

We have 25 adults and 11 kids, for a total of 36 people.

Parents with kids will ride on the houseboat. Everyone else will ride on the two ski boats or the jet skis.

Hey everybody what a fun time. A little challenging for all the first day but it worked out to be a great trip. I look forward to doing it again. I have some items that I found and I have one item that I lost. Found: 1 green sleeping bag 1 red sleeping bag 1 black pair of binoculars with case and 1 pair of black sunglasses Lost: a green fluorescent lamp Please contact me if you lost any of these items or found the lantern. cheers, Darren

BTW, we took out a restraining order against our Irsh friend, Jim. He is not allowed near our dog Rascal! He corrupted our dog by giving him Bush beer. Can you believe it? Of all thngs...a "Bush"!

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL time! The trip was well organized, it had a great bunch of folks, everyone was friendly and a lot of fun to be around, and there were all kinds of exciting things to see and do. And Lake Powell is an incredibly beautiful place for a long weekend campout. It was amazing! Thanks!
