The Arizona Camping Club Voted The Hot Air Balloon Company as the Best Hot Air Balloon Company in Arizona

On February 24th, we took a trip with the Hot Air Balloon Company, based in North Phoenix. The owner, Capt. Dave, is an FAA Certified Pilot and has been flying groups like ours for more than 15 years. His concern for safety and customer satisfaction was of the utmost importance and made us all feel very safe.

We drove north of Phoenix out into the middle of nowhere, which was good because it takes you away from all of the hazards of city infrastructure such as power lines. The setup crew was very friendly and actually let us help them inflate the hot air balloon, which was very cool.

Once we loaded in the balloon and took off, the captain told us all about the techniques needed to fly and balloon and lots of information about how wind is utilized to move a balloon up and down and from one spot to another. His commentary was very informative and made the ride very enjoyable.

Why did we love the hot air balloon ride?

• Many of us have had an hot air balloon ride on our bucket list for a long time
  
• Floating in a balloon was very tranquil. There was no wind and it was a silent flight
  
• Capt. Dave was a great host and taught us the flying techniques we needed to fly safely
  
• Capt. Dave also told us how hot air ballons were invented and told us many historical stories
  
• It was a great flight for couples because they pair you up in twos for the basket
  
• Partiers liked it because we had a fabulous champagne party after we landed
  
• I personally loved it because I am a hunter and I could GPS every stock tank we passed over
  
• We all loved it because it was a very safe and comfortable ride
