“ This scouting trip turned up a lot of surprises. The amount of bear sign that we saw along the diamond point ridge was amazing. If you are a bear hunter, check this area out. The reason for the bear traffic is the amount of white tail deer and elk in these areas. There were also lots and lots of turkeys. The problem with this area is that it is very, very thick. Down load, traffic was heavy at the tanks. Up high below the rim, most springs aggregate and turn into heavy flowing creeks, which surprised me at this time of year. The game trails besides these creeks were like animal super highways. The trails were use heavily every day and it was easy to spot animals in these areas. Stock tanks were best for turkey and the upper elevations were better for elk and muleys. ”
