To solve this problem, the Department of Energy has pledged more $63 million to Arizona energy efficiency improvement programs.

Arizona also will receive $112 million to fund weatherization and energy efficiency projects – including $57 million for a Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and $55 million to fund a state energy program.

In addition to the federal stimulus money, Arizona utilities are mandated to spend an additional $65 million to subsidize residential/commercial property demand side management and energy efficiency programs.
