Hand-to-Hand Self-Defense - Free Workshop

Hand-to-Hand Defense Techniques

presented by ADTA member Wu Chin

Self-defense is a mindset, to use your wits, skills, and the tools at hand to escape a life-threatening situation.  Many self-defense situations can arise where a firearm is not an appropriate response.  Knowing a few simple hand-to-hand techniques; with a mindset to use them when needed; is an important part of preparedness.  Join ADTA member Wu Chin for this informative and participatory seminar on hand-to-hand defense techniques.  All skill levels are welcome; material will be presented in an easy-to-follow and practical introduction.

Very good! Able to write notes and learn "moves".

Several people sat on the side lines, because of physical problems or unsure of what was required. By the end of the event, most were going through some of the motions and drills, although they remained outside the main group.

For me, I wanted to take notes and I preferred to "spar" with my friend, vs. some of the fellow who play too rough. That's why I separated from the group. It worked!

After the demo, is there a studio for ongoing classes?

Wu Chin, an accomplished and experienced martial artist and a very approachable instructor and ADTA board member, regularly teaches hand to hand techniques at the Federal Way Community Center. He volunteers his time, there, to teach both Family Karate and Self-Defense for Women courses. Thanks for your enthusiasm!
