Art of Recycle Workshops Pages

Art of Recycle is a 501C3 non-profit Community Art Center located in downtown Ephrata, PA.

Our mission is to inspire more art and assist artists in developing skills for art creation by using the resources around them. Our objective is to teach people how to create "art with purpose" reusing discarded, unwanted, and excess items; creating generations of artists and crafters who are more environmentally conscious.

In 2008 Art of Recycle started our workshop meet-up group. Our workshops are either free or low-cost for children and adults. Puppetry, paper-making, flower presses, candle making, ornament decorating, and re-upholstery are only a few of the recycling workshops available. We also teach handy art skills such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver as well as offer Life Drawing for local artists who wish to practice their drawing skills.

Did you know Art of Recycle is also a Thrifty Craft Store?!
You will find a lot of fun and interesting craft items in our craft store at very low rates. Most of the items for sale are recycled craft items and overstock items! You might be amazed to discover that we have items for sale that you might not otherwise find in a traditional craft store! All revenue from Art of Recycle Thrifty Craft Store goes towards maintaining the facility. Art of Recycle is volunteer run, there are no paid employees. Your purchases helps keep our crafting area free and our workshops low cost!
Our store hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 11am to 6pm. However, we are often open in the evenings and weekends when volunteers are available.

We except donations of new and gently used art supplies, your donations help us grow.
