Workshop: Introduction to Still Life Drawing

This workshop will be an introduction to Still Life Drawing: it is suitable for the ABSOLUTE BEGINNER; however, as with all workshops organised through Dublin Art Skills, artists with more experience can also benefit from the class, as the tutor will base your learning around your personal level of experience and knowledge.

All that is required of students is that they attend on the day with plenty of enthusiasm to learn, as well as some 3B grade pencils, a rubber, a penknife or other blade for sharpening pencils, and an A3 hardback sketchpad. These sketchpads are available in twos in the basement of Reads on Nassau St. for a very good price.

As usual, the classroom is above The Constant Knitter - you can access it through the shop and up the stairs (making sure to ask at the counter first;))

I just wanted to let those who attended that there was a black shawl or scarf left after the class, as well as a yellow i-gloo sharpener (unless the person abandoned the sharpener under my advive:)), so you can pick them up from me at the Lantern Center any Saturday in the near future.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
