We are delighted to announce the showing of Interpretations on view November 13, 7 - 9 pm, presented by Pardon my French, in their premier exhibition in Los Angeles. Interpretations presents 20 artworks by Avi Roth, completed in the last six years, and includes several new abstract works. All are rendered in Roth’s signature mix of intermingling coffee and grinds as pigments without binders.

Roth’s coffeegraphs are comprised of many layers of this unique combination preserved in natural earth tones. The artist’s vibrant textures ascend from beneath this organic crust of anthropomorphic landscapes and the iconic images support the magical process, étre en répétition, a dynamic life enriching cycle of experience, a hidden force behind the artist passion for his art.

A portion of the 120 Minutes Benefit Sale will benefit the Armory.
“The Armory Center for the Arts is a nonprofit, donor-supported
contemporary art center that builds on the power of art to transform lives and communities through teaching, creating and presenting the arts.”

True to their established reputation, Pardon My French Events will be handing out a complimentary glass of champagne to every guest upon entrance to the event.  In conjunction with the theme of the event, guests will enjoy exotic coffees from Guatemala which will be be roasted, grinded and brewed on the premises- courtesy of sponsor Jones Coffee Roasters.

Yet another excellent Art Gallery Parties in LA Meetup as the main intention of Meetups is to mingle with like minded individuals, and as way over 100 members attended, it was a good time to get acquainted with others you haven’t met before, and to talk with those you have. Champagne was provided to ease the flow of conversation, and fresh ground coffee with the roasted smell permeating the room was also available as the art features the product. On this occasion, the artist, Avi, presented his unique abstract paintings and prints made with coffee residue to create images of thoughtful intention all of which have titles to instigate your interpretation. All were offered at reduced price to provide funds for the armory center for the ARTS in Pasadena. During the evening, Avi gave a talk on his interesting process, which leads one to fully appreciate the technique.

In the carrier of an artist every event is an important event. So was last night’s presence of over 140 members of the Art gallery Parties in L.A. ! I want to thank all of you my friends who came from nearby and other distant places to join with me the benefit event for the Armory Center for the Arts. A very special thanks to Clara for her repeated efforts in organizing these wonderful gatherings!

The best inspiration comes from a call of the universe... Through coffee! The ceremony of grinding, brewing, the aroma, drinking, and the caffeine creates a high best recorded by its coffee stains. Coffee stains speak an trigger images that Roth interprets and helps uncover. An interesting integration creating organic works.
I thought the body of work Roth created is visually engaging and entertaining. I wish my coffee would speak to me like this.

A dreadful waste of time and effort. I want off of this meetup group. The exhibit this evening was uniformly repetitious, drab, monotone. A small exhibit. Too small, except that more of it would have exacerbated the negative.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
