We are overdue for a visit to the wonderful Goethe Institut. (They moved their Film Festival from January to October this year.) This looks like a really interesting event. There will be a panel discussion on Trends in Photography with Josefine Raab, curator of the current exhibit - gute aussichten - of new German photography; Andrea Nelson of the National Gallery of Art, and Laurie Snyder and Nate Larson of the Maryland Institute College of Art. This will be followed by an opening reception with gute aussichten’s curators Josefine Raab and Stefan Becht. Perhaps we can ask Andrea about the National Gallery's wonderful new exhibit of "fake" photography.
We thank Norma, who has worked tirelessly there for many years, for inviting us to this free event. Besides RSVPing here, they would like you to also RSVP your name to [masked]. Thanks. You can also see photos from the exhibit at their information page.
Perhaps we can get a bite to eat afterwards if people are up for it.
