We did our first Bethesda Art Walk in a while last month and really enjoyed it - discovering a cool new gallery called Art Works. They said they'll have one more opening in May before summer so we'll go back. Also on our walk will be a first-time collaboration between a clay artist and glass artist (at Waverly), a wonderful show of Foundry artists at Gallery B (and an auction), and a beautiful oil painter at Interiors of Washington
We'll be at Waverly from about 6 to 6:30, then Gallery B from about 6:35 to 7:00 or so. And then Art Works and 1 or 2 more. In the past, we've gone to Sala Thai for dinner; they have a wonderful upstairs dining area, good food at reasonable prices, and LIVE JAZZ. I'll be checking with them tomorrow. It all makes for a really fun arts and social evening.
The best parking lot is at Woodmont and Old Georgetown because you pay at the end - no meters. Metro is great - go thru the tunnel under Wisconsin, up the escalator, out the door, take a right and then Waverly gallery is around the corner. (Look at the art in the tunnel when you go through!)
See you Friday!
