A Fotoweek Opening Reception at the Goethe Institut

I will start posting various opening receptions associated with Fotoweek, and this looks like a really good one to start with.  It's important that everyone knows about them and can attend and socialize.  I will update if there is something else fun to do in the area Saturday - or maybe people can go to dinner after. But this should be an excellent opening. PLEASE ALSO REGISTER WITH GOETHE BY CLICKING HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND. It's free.

Linger On! (Verweile doch)Impulses from Saxony-Anhalt
Featuring photographs by Max Baumann, Iris Brosch, Reinhard Hentze, Carina Linge, Matthias Ritzmann, and Robert Schlotter

Opening reception on Saturday, November 2, 6-8 pm, with artists Iris Brosch and Robert Schlotter as well as the German guitarist Conny Ochs.

Introduced by:
Manon Bursian, President, Saxony-Anhalt Arts Foundation
Wilfried Eckstein, Director, Goethe-Institut Washington

Linger awhile. You are so beautiful. “Verweile doch, du bist so schön!” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe from Faust Part II

Linger on! (Verweile doch) – this is the impetus that continues to generate new photographers.

Capturing fleeting moments in time, these diverse works by six artists present extraordinary encounters with contemporary art. They range from documentary photography which enhances reality via the deft use of framing and lighting to precisely staged productions.

Presented as part of FotoWeek DC

I'd just like to join for the jazz at the Madison Hotel. Ronn, what time do you think you'll get there?
