For at least the 5th year in a row, National Geographic is showing the 5 Oscar-nominated foreign films, all with receptions either before or after, over the Presidents Day Holiday. It has been an ArtHouse tradition in the past so we'll continue with a few of these.
Omar has not played locally so this will be most people's first opportunity to see it. A young Palestinian baker-turned-militant falls into a cat-and-mouse game with Israeli military police, in award-winning filmmaker Hany Abu-Assad’s powerful drama. This has received some very favorable reviews.
TICKETS: These all do sell out eventually. Each film is just $10 including the reception. Here is the link to the main website. For this meetup click on Omar and follow the prompts. I do not see a deal for all 5 this year.
The film starts at 5:00, the reception probably around 6:30. It does get very crowded. Some of us will be going to The Hunt after the reception.
