Shake your blues away with BG and the Mojo Hands! Here's an event that fits all my conditions: a nice, comfortable restaurant - Ray's Rock'n'Raw Bar - with no cover charge. (Menu looks good and very affordable!) Ample parking, close to the White Flint Metro. And best of all, my friend Brian Gross - an incredible guitarist - will be playing with his band from 9 pm to midnight. "We'll be playing lots of blues, swing and rockabilly, and maybe a Christmas and NYE song or two. The new stage should be up and ready for our show. We are trying to put the rock (or blues) back in Rockville!" Last time we saw Brian was at Hill Country Barbecue.
So you can do dinner, appetizers, dessert and/or just drinks, and be entertained by the Mojo Hands and your ArtHouse friends old and new. The restaurant is also advertising party favorites, a champagne toast at midnight and a breakfast buffet at 12:15 a.m. It really should be a great night. Oh, and let's also do a Top 10 movies of the year thing. I think that will make for a really fun and involved discussion. I just saw a film "Barbara" that definitely makes my list!
Let's see what the response is and then we'll decide on reservations or just hanging out in the bar area. Brian is really excited about the group coming. Get ready to hear an assortment of great music from Robert Johnson to Johnny Cash to Muddy Waters! Stay warm and come join us!
