WELCOME TO NEW YORK (Abel Ferrara, 2014)

Although it has been fifteen years since one of his films last played in British cinemas, Abel Ferrara is widely regarded as America's most adventurous director. His latest masterpiece, WELCOME TO NEW YORK, is a response to the Dominque Strauss-Kahn scandal. Playing a Kahn-like politician accused of rape, Gerard Depardieu gives a career-best performance in a film which, as so often with Ferrara, has attracted both controversy (DSK is threatening to sue) and admiration. - Brad Stevens

Is it advisable to get tickets in advance or is their a discount if we attend as a group?

There's always a chance of tickets selling out, so it's not a bad idea.

I hope everyone enjoys the film. I have just booked on a day course on Saturday looking at David Lynch's Blurred Identity Trilogy as evidenced in Lost Highway, mulholland Drive and Inland Empire. This is a summer school event at City Lit. Should be interesting.
