6-3-2012 The Artist Way meetup & then visit The Eastside Millennium Art Festival

  • June 3, 2012 · 11:00 AM
  • Chicago Lakefront

Requirement - written "morning pages"  This meetup is about "The Artist's Way".

This group has great potential and I am hoping for members who have something to share. Problems, secrets, experiences, etc. we can contribute for the good of the group. And of course there is the book. But for now I want to keep an open agenda.

We can help each other by critiquing work and ideas even after the meeting so bring it with you if . . . .

Purposely having this meetup on a day of the Eastside Millennium Art Festival.

If anyone has a better place to meet, close to this location, let me know.

Thanks Bill for sharing ideal weather, creativity, people watching and life's experiences. Everyone can plan on a meetup every 2-3 weeks during the summer. Virgil

...And I also would not attend the meetup if nobody else was doing the MP process month after month. Thanx again to the coordinators.

Perfection or Wholeness? I like the Morning Pages req. as encouragement, not as a shaming judgment tool for stuckness. I was well into my 2nd 12-week facilitated AW series when I sync'd up with the energetic shift of MPs.

I would vote in favor of a leave-no-creative-behind approach. Partipation, even if it's briefly owning skip days due to darker creative energies (excuses, forgetting, depression, etc) has restorative value for creatives in circle with creatives.

Writing my riseNshine good morning pages on the lakefront on the quietest morning of the week and circling up with other good morning creatives and inviting a creative friend.

    thanx to the coordinators.

Writing stream of thought pages everyday are the base of the
book "The Artist's Way'. In the past people who haven't written morning pages have had little if anything to contribute to the group.
