I could not make it in the end- I was stuck out of town too late. How was it? I've been hoping to make it to one of these publishing/story writing evenings, and haven't been able to.

Hi Heather. You could contact OIW members Bob Barclay and Ian White who are in the pubbing business or Beverly Blanchard who has pubbed a book for that kind of advice.

I just checked out the OIW upcoming activities and I have a question anyone in this group might be able to answer...or start a conversation and help me think around the issues. I've written 2 ebooks and working on one now- they are technical in nature and sell reasonably, but not as fantastically as I'd like, and also are downloadable pdfs...so I'm not sure they are the smartest format to be using. Question #2: I'm planning a technical book for in print, and wanting to bounce ideas off of someone around at what stage to engage preferred publishers/how to approach them. Question #3: similar to question two except a motivational/daily inspirations type short book. If anyone has been down these roads and would like to meet for a coffee sometime...or can tell me of any relevant events/workshops, that would be great. The technical content is sport instructional writing.

I might have to be out of town that day, but that remains to be confirmed. If I'm here, I'll attend.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
