Phoenix Players presents:
The Last of Jane Austen
by Shirl Hendryx,
directed by Jo-Ann McCabe
November 7–9 & 12–16 at 7:30 p.m., and Sun Nov 10 at 2:30 pm
The Last of Jane Austen features two elderly, usually quite proper sisters in a small Midwestern town. Jane Austin is read at their local church as an evening activity which the sisters, in their 70s, do not enjoy. A young man looking for a bit of work happens by and it turns out that he is a boxer! Now, the sisters have become totally fascinated by boxing, watching it faithfully on TV. They offer to help the young man get ready for a come back and become his managers. They are having the time of their lives!
Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Tickets: You can buy your ticket online at http://thegladstone.ca/phoenix.html or you can buy them at the theatre's box office during box office hours.
