Superreal: alternative realities in photography and video

This exhibition explores the layered meanings and interpretations of the real as it is represented in photography and video art. Drawing on the presentation of the landscape, the human figure, the world of architecture, various objects and natural phenomena, these images explore alternative realities despite their use of the photographic or video image, traditionally understood as a reflection of actuality.

Superreal will feature more than 70 works by artists.

After the show...a relaxing stroll in Central Park.

Comfortable walking shoes are A MUST!
You will be walking over 60 blocks.

We will arm ourselves with a steaming extra large sugar filled hot coffee,
visit the stunning Conservatory Garden, which is breathtaking in any season,
walk to the Meer, which is close by, and...
make our way all the way down to The Pond at 59th.

Central Park is surrounded by subway stations, at any given time, if tired of walking, you will be able to easily exit the park and get to a train.
