Volunteers from 2.00pm!!
You will be welcome for any or all of event, from 2.00 till 10.00, but we would particularly like to see you at the first part, from 2 till 4, when we want to throw the doors open to all our volunteers, and all the new Arts Central community. Do come along, see what amazing things AGMK volunteers have done in a short space of time, and catch up with some old friends.
Even as a member, you still need to register via Eventbrite (link below) - thank you :-)
We look forward to seeing you and thank you for making this project happen!
Registration is via Eventbrite: http://artscentral-launch-efbevent.eventbrite.co.uk/
The Trustees and volunteers of Arts Gateway MK will be delighted to welcome you to the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of
our new creative hub at 16.30 on Tuesday 22nd October 2013.
ARTS CENTRAL, directly above MK station, is a base for a mixed creative community of artists and micro-businesses, making use of vacant commercial space.
Arts Central will be home to over 40 creatives, in the fields of painting, making, photography, digital design, music, writing, film, dance and drama, with facilities for studio and office space, meetings, seminars, performances, rehearsals, exhibitions, film screenings, chilling out & regular networking/collaborations with like-minded people.
You are welcome from 4.30pm onwards, and the hub will be officially opened by The Mayor of Milton Keynes at 5.30pm. You have the chance to look around at progress so far, and enjoy art on display and performances of music, dance and spoken word, until around 7.00pm.
You are also welcome to stay for the later, more informal celebration that will continue until around 10.00pm.
There will be light refreshments and there`s no charge for coming, but we`d like you to RSVP via Eventbrite so we know who to expect.
Location of Arts Central: If looking at the Central Milton Keynes Train Station (left-hand side), the entrance is between Subways and the Dentist.
Parking: We have our own car park at the back of the Train Station (closer to Silbury Boulevard side). Look out for the Private Car Park with a barrier and someone in a hi-viz vest to point you in the right direction. Once full, you can use the Multi Story Car Park behind the Network Rail offices or any other Pay & Display space until 6pm (free after 6). There are also free spaces for 1 hour outside the front of the building. Plenty of good public transport links too of course!
We look forward to welcoming you to Arts Central and sharing in our vision for the creative growth of the Arts in Milton Keynes!
