Play Golf in Sacramento

I am posting this event on behalf of the Sacramento Chapter of ASGA. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact them directly, thanks!--Mati Sacramento's Gold Country Classic - May 4-5, 2012. Play in the beautiful hills of Northern California. Details at SACRAMENTO ASGA's “GOLD COUNTRY CLASSIC” MAY 4-5, 2012 The Sacramento Chapter of ASGA is having its second annual spring golf outing and this year we are going to the GOLD COUNTRY. We are playing two of Northern California’s finest courses and have scheduled the event in an area that lodging is available by renting or using a time share that is “on site”. The “Mother Lode” area is a fantastic destination for golf as well as historic sightseeing and wine tasting. It was recently labeled by one magazine as one of the 10 best destinations in the country. And we are inviting all ASGA members to join us, especially those in the western portion of the country. The dates will be Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th and it will be held at La Contenta and Greenhorn Creek Golf Courses in Calavaras County. This is near the community of Angels Camp, in the heart of the “Gold Country”. The event will include golf at La Contenta on Friday, followed by a reception or get together at Greenhorn, golf at Greenhorn Creek on Saturday and a dinner at Greenhorn Creek on Saturday evening, complete with a DJ for your dancing pleasure. Play will begin on Friday the 4th at 11:45 allowing people to arrive on Friday morning. Saturday play will also begin at 11:45 AM, allowing a vacation type sleep in or have a nice breakfast. The cost for this package is $175, a great deal when you consider two rounds of golf at four star courses, including cart and prize fund, plus dinner, with dancing. DEADLINE for registration and payment: April 10th. Lodging is not included but we have a block of rooms at the Wyndham Angels Camp, which is adjacent to Greenhorn Creek. All rooms available are two bedroom units with four beds, which can accommodate 2 to 4 people. The cost of the room is $112 per night, or if you own World Mark points, you can reserve as an owner for a different figure. You make your lodging reservations separately and directly with the Wyndham organization. (Click below for flyer.) You should call the office at the number below and make sure you tell them you are with the ASGA golf group and want a room at Wyndham Angels Camp. The rates are good May 2nd through 9th. We are asking that no one rent one of these rooms just for themselves. That would not allow as many players to participate. Please get in groups of 2, 3 or 4. There are rooms available in Angels Camp for those who prefer to stay by themselves. The local motels are shown below: Wyndham – World Mark[masked] (Call between 9 and 5 Eastern Time) Best Western Cedar Inn (209)[masked] Gold Country Inn (209)[masked] This is a weekend only golf outing, but the Gold Country beckons those who are interested in making this a longer stay. That is up to you!!! Hopefully we can get a good turnout and make our spring getaway a regular event for ASGA members, especially those of us out west. We do not have to fill a minimum of rooms at the lodge. If you have friends, relatives, own a World Mark timeshare, take advantage of that and join us for the golf and dinner. Once again, you must be an ASGA member to participate in this event. Note: You must be an ASGA member in order to register and attend this event. To join the American Singles Golf Association, go to
