I am proud to call myself an elder and working hard to help younger people see the benefits of getting "old". I love to be outside---biking, hiking, sunning myself, swimming, chatting, playing games....skate-boarding.
I am an "educator". The Webster definition (and used by Albert Einstein) is "helping people discover the creativity within themselves. That's what I do....starting with helping people discover their passion and then learning from that perspective. Serving ages 5-95!
I started out my career as an investment analyst and then became an accountant in large corporations. After my husband and I left the Peace Corps, we moved to Baltimore, MD so that he could get his PhD. I got a job teaching in the inner city (PS #1 across the street from the jail) and found that I loved being with this population of children...and their parents....and that I was successful at helping them learn quickly....they taught me a lot also. I have been teaching in public/private/independent learning programs for 40 years and I'm still going strong!
I am an educator who has developed thousands of creative ways to learn all kinds of academic subjects. I have been a public school teacher, founded/operated a private school in Santa Cruz, CA and became the Executive Director of a non-profit educational program that designed and implemented creative ways to learn/teach for people ages 5-95. I am now available to teach others (teachers, school directors, parents, administrators) our very successful methods of learning through enjoyable and individualized methods...."Learn to love learning" is our motto. I am partnering with other organizations/individuals to help educate people in FUN and successful ways....starting with helping them discover their passion...and learn from that perspective.

Happy new home!!! Just loved seeing the JOY you shared on Thursday. It's obviously you are very happy. This is wonderful.
Sorry, but I won't be able to attend this Thursday's get-together. I have a meeting that night that I have to attend. Hope you have fun.
Dear Joy, I am sorry I didn't see your request for help with the boxes. I didn't even look at my email for the last two days. I know that the exact right women were there to help you...I am just sorry I wasn't one of them. Many Blessings in your new home!!!
