Awesome Aliso Summit Trail, Saturday October 12, 2012

*********

We will be hiking the Aliso Summit Trail. This trail is a little known gem discreetly perched on the cliffs of Aliso Canyon. The serpentine trail follows the 800-foot-high cliffs on the east rim of the canyon.

Throughout the hike are views of the stream fed canyon, mountains, the Pacific Ocean and on a clear day Catalina Island. This a 4 mile round trip that should take us about 2 hours. The elevation gain is 200 feet. This is an easy hike with great views. Dogs on a leash are OK.

There are no restrooms at this site, so plan accordingly!

We will meet at 9:40 am and begin hiking at 10:00 until 12:15. Afterwards we will meet for lunch.

*********

Meet at the posted trailhead.........

there will be a group of 40 to 70 persons there.......

****************************

Please join us after the hike (12:30) for lunch at the Bonjour Cafe and Bistro (http://www.bonjourcafe.com/ ) in Dana Point at 24633 Del Prado Ave (PCH). This cafe is the definition of a Parisian Bistro which is a casual place, unpretentious, with great food, casual service, affordable, patronized mostly by the locals, owned and run by a family and where

customers know the employees and vice versa. It has become for most patrons: home away from home.

Driving directions to lunch restaurant: From the hike return to Crown Valley Parkway and turn right. Continue to the PCH and turn left. Continue 2.4 miles and the restaurant will be on the left.

****************

This HIKE is NOT Hosted or organized by the "Asian Night Out" group but by a hiking singles group called "HIKING 4 the L."...............
