We've had a long hard wait for this summer, so now it's here let's jump right in and enjoy it to the max! The next weekend is going to be hot, hot, hot again. So just leave the DIY/ washing/ Tesco shop for later and "seize the day"! After all, the British summer has been known to last just 2 weeks - we can't waste a minute!
Come out to play where all the cool London people will be; at one of the best city parks in the world - Regent's Park. Now's the time to use what we pay for (via taxes). We'll meet outside Regent's Park Underground Station on Marylebone Road at 1:30pm.
It would be good if everyone could bring along something to contribute to the picnic, but it doesn't have to be high class home cooked food, it doesn't have to be food at all. Everything from a bag of cherry tomatoes, to a bag of crisps appreciated; things like blankets to sit on, plastic glasses and paper napkins will come in handy - and if you are so inclined frisbees, cricket kit or stale bread to feed the ducks. (Regent's Park also has tennis courts and boating if you fancy that.)
To avoid 15 of us bringing cheese and no-one bringing bread, it would help if when you RSVP you say what you are bringing, including non-edible items. That way we can ensure we have a few blankets, a variety of food and we don't miss out important things like something to drink out of or eat off.
Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon gossiping under a tree.....
