Hi group,

I'm free to do some volunteering work on the weekends. I think the Nikkei Concerns would be a good fit for me as I am fluently in Vietnamese.

Please email for any further updates as I really interested of getting involved.

Thanks.

Hi, Everyone:

Our past meetups have been social in nature.  I am taking an informal survey to see how many people will be interested in participating in a volunteer event.

I will schedule one if enough people are interested

Possible volunteer opportunities:

Nikkei Concerns:  A elderly nursing home; most of the residents are Asians;  they need volunteers who can speak Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese

Seattle Animal Shelter:  they will give us a tour, talk about adopting an animal and ask us to do a small task.  Afterwards, we can take a dog to play on the ground

Fare Start:  This is a teaching facility for chefs.  The unique feature about this school is they accept people who are homeless, former convicted felons or someone in recovery.  We usually will assist the chef to prepare meals and then have lunch with them

I welcome any other suggestions.
