This was my first time going to the Meetings. There were 17 attendees by 7pm - so was a larger crowd than usual, I was told. Jim Pearson, the co-ordinator was very cordial and I talked a lot to him and his friend, Pam. I do not have Aspergers; but my younger brother is convinced that he has it and I would definately agree with him (as his big sister).
Jim could see that many of his symptoms that I recounted were definately those of an "Aspie". My brother has resisted coming to these meetings, even though I told him about them a year ago. Jim agrees I should continue to persaude my bro (from Olds) to come .
I also have a 3 year old grandson whom I have suspected has a mild form of Autism since he was one year old. My daughter, his mother overheard a neighbour (who has an Autistic son) talking about her son possibly having Autism and she got very angry and said "How dare they say that about my son - he's fine." I'm leary about broaching the subject with her. Thank you.
    Susan
