Ashley is from Baton Rouge, graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and OLOL Nursing School.

She is mom of 2 fantastic children. Madison is 9, who attends Parkview Baptist School. Cooper is 6 and is at Southdowns Pre-K, but is heading into K next year at Broadmoor. He was diagnosed with Prader-WIli syndrome shortly after he was born. This syndrome causes the hypothalamus to dysfunction and the signal from the brain to the stomach that allows an individual to feel full doesn't work. They also suffer from developmental delays, behavioral issues, speech problems, short stature due to Growth Hormone Deficiency, and are at an extreme rick of morbid obesity. PWS is the leading cause of obesity in all syndromes.

Ashley advocates for all individuals with disabilities, and helps ensure that families have access to all available services and support. It is her mission to ensure that families are able to maintain their unit as a whole through Waiver services. We feel that the only place an individual with disability belongs is surrounded by their family and a part of their community. In a school setting, we fight for all students to have an education protected by FAPE, and in a full inclusion setting.

CATASTROPHE! Our lovely Hostess and our Featured Speaker were struck with crisis and Family related Crisis that caused them not to show. She had lost her telephone and had to deal with with severe Migraine, the other with Streph, and myself as I had just left the Emergency Room dealing with Heart problems and Hypertension, exhausted and with Overload, and under the Doctors Office running tests. Others came down with severe illness just before meeting, so we went ahead and had to cancel the meeting. It was devestating for all of us. 3 Regular Members, A Teacher and School Counselor showed and we enjoyed meeting them and spending time with them as we got togther at New Orleans PoBoys and just plain chatted. We had 5 Members that had to leave immediately. We apologized for the 5 out of towners that showed 2 sets of parents and one Aspergers. We APOLOGIZE to those new Members and Guest who showed up and put those who did not make due to crisis and illness in our prayers for recovery.
