Research Project

I learned of my Asperger Syndrome when I was twenty-six years old. The first thing my psychologist told me about it was that I might never marry because of it. Ever since, I have been trying to learn how to defy the odds which seem so insurmountable in the case of intimate relationships. For this semester in college, I determined to study this, since this has been my obsession since the psychologist told me how difficult it would be. If possible, I need to find volunteers who have had success in relationships and volunteers with little or no success. My goal is to determine correlating factors which may determine the difference between fulfilling and unfulfilling relationships in Asperger's and High Functioning Autistic individuals. I know many, like myself, may see this as a painful topic, but I hope to be closer to a solution to the problem by the time I finish. Best wishes to you all. - Gabriel Gray
