Re: [aspergers-81] FW: followup from PSE summit in Greensboro

Hello Kenji<
Ryan Platt from A Special Needs Plan is unable to come to Meck Promise in April because he will be at an ARC Conference that Friday and Saturday. He is asking if he can reschedule for the May meeting. Would that be okay and if so, what  is the exact date? He spoke to our Autism Group in Gaston County and did an awesome job and provides a needed service. Let me know what you think. I look forward to seeing you at Fuel Pizza.
Have a great day,
Mary Kane

Subject: followup from PSE summit in Greensboro

Hello Kenji,

It was a pleasure meeting you at the PSE Transition Summit in Greensboro!  I hope you enjoyed the second of the conference.  As you may recall, with funding from Autism Speaks, our group is working on a program to help students with ASD (autism, Asperger’s or PDD-NOS) successfully transition from high school to post-secondary education.   At this point, we are looking for parents and students to give us feedback on the content and visual display of one of our existing programs.  We will use this feedback to guide us as we revise the program to better meet the needs of people with ASD.    For their time, each participant will each receive a $60 gift card as a thank you.

I am attaching flyers about the project: one aimed at parents and the other at students.   If you don’t mind passing these on to people that might be interested, I would be really grateful.  (We are happy to travel to Charlotte to meet with families.  Ideally we would like to do this between April 17th and May 10th but we will setup appointments that work for qualified participants.)

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Best regards,

Deb
