SIRA (Solar Imaging Radio Array): NCA

This is a regular monthly meeting of the National Capital Astronomers. It is free and open to the public. NCA have lectures but there usually isn't any observing. Seating is limited and it's advisable to arrive on time.
National Capital Astronomers The speaker for March is Dr. Robert MacDowall (GSFC). Please see the website for further details. I can provide a ride for anyone from Bethesda Metro.

There were 44 people in attendance at this mtg on 14 Mar. I've no idea how many were actually from the meetup group. I don't know where Carmen went, but she was clearly not at the Observatory!! I (UM Obs Coordinator) was even there early at 7:10pm and there were some folks waiting in the lot.

I highly recommend folks check the websites of the venues themselves rather than relying on directions or addresses given on the meetup pages.

Although we arrived early, I found only one truck in the parking lot. Additionally, we found the door closed at the building, when we tried to enter, wondering if it had been cancelled because we both looked forward to attending. We left at around 7:38PM when we saw no one else.

Would I be able to get more info on being picked up from the Metro?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
