Observing tonight at Spanish Banks

The clear sky chart looks awesome for tonight and the new moon is this weekend, so let's meet for some observing at the usual Spanish Banks location in the furthest west parking lot.

All RASC Events are family friendly, free to attend, and open to the public. Membership is never required and we do not charge admission. You don't even need a telescope, but bring one if you have one. Beginners and experts will enjoy all of our events.

(I tried to post earlier, but has been down for the past 24 hours)

It turned cold around 10pm, but otherwise conditions were good. 4 or 5 scopes. Very muddy. I am glad I brought one of those cheap plastic tarps!

The supernova in M82 is dim, but still visible.

Ya, it turned cold in a hurry. Still, very good skies for Vancouver. It was incredibly easy to find all my favorite fuzzies and we're still looking at the supernova a month later.
