Observing at Spanish Banks

The conditions look good for tonight and we'll have a great view of the moon, Saturn, and Mars. Let's meet at our usual Spanish Banks location (furthest West parking lot) for 10pm tonight... it should be dark enough by then for an hour of planetary observing.

As usual all RASC events are family friendly and there are no fees to attend.  You don't even need a telescope, but bring one if you have one.  Binoculars are an excellent tool for astronomy!

Thanks everyone for hanging out last night! Some very clear skies, although the moon was a bit bright. We'll try do another evening next week when that moon is out of the way.

Hi Scott, I would love to come but I'm not sure if I will be back from my hike by 10:00pm (normally yes). Are you going to do other evening like this one? Thanks, Stephanie

Hi, Stephanie. Yes, there will be many more nights like this one. Vancouver skies are historically the best in July / August.
