This month the theme is "Happy/Sad" as Life is bittersweet. Sometimes both happy and sad at the same time.
At the next Asylum club we will be tackling the difficult subject of mental illness. It's something that has affected Asylum deeply but we aren't the sort of people to take difficulties sitting down so we want to do our best to help people affected by it. It's also one of those problems that is made worse because of the social stigma about it, so talking about it can really help.
It's not going to be a major thing, we will have a quiz, leaflets and someone to talk to about any issues. There will still be great music, free snacks and the pool table so come along and check it out.
Asylum Club night is our highlight of the month held on the second Sunday of the month at 8pm.
We take over the top floor of the Intrepid Fox and our DJ's often play a selection of the best Punk, Hardcore, Metal, Hard Rock, Doom, Goth and Industrial music.
As usual we will have GREAT MUSIC, POOL TABLE and FREE SNACKS. So come along, chill out, meet new friends and find out why Sunday is the new best day of the week!
We are a friendly bunch at Asylum so if you are new then make sure you say "hi" to one of the crew (easily found because we all wear Asylum logo badges) and we'll make sure you get a special welcome.
We play a mixture of music but you can always have a word with the DJ and they will find you some great tracks in the style that you like.
Feel free to help yourself to FREE Fairtrade snacks. (Find out more on Fairtrade at www.fairtrade.org.uk)
Although Asylum Club is now on the 2nd Sunday of each month, please remember to check online in case dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
