Meet and Greet at the Lake (May the Fourth Be with You)

The annual meet and greet and potluck at the lake. The Yacht Club seats 30 people, is air-conditioned, has a fridge, a porch facing the lake, and a short dock.

Feel free to bring items for outdoor games. There is plenty of room on the patio next to the water for a game of lader ball or tic-tac-toe.

Dues will be collected.

It was a bit cold outside but we all still had a great time eating and playing games.

Ok, so I picked up enough food for 15 people. We should be good.

Well, we cant come, but not because of the weather, although it will be cold out, Cameron is moving back home and has to be out of his place Saturday night, so we will be helping him, plus we are getting a nasty poky ball tree removed in the morning, so Im sorry, till be meet again!

No need to change anything!!!! Let's all have a good time at the lake, rain or shine or whatever nature provides.

I don't think we should reschedule. We're doing the solstice party anyway, so people can come to that if this weekend doesn't work for them. I'm buying the hamburgers and hotdogs tonight after work, so we need a final decision.

We have the solstice party around then. Wrought as well hold both. If people want we could change the location of the solstice party if btw people aren't comfortable coming to someone's house

Why are some people so hyper about the weather! We are the end product of a long evolutionary process and our ancestor somehow made it through the Ice Ages!

I have final exams but I still have time to attend this major event of the year regardless of the weather. In fact I am looking forward to seeing a snow storm in May!!!

That's okay, and I understand the difficulty and cost involved with re-scheduling any major event. Maybe next year we can coordinate between the two groups. I'll try to be there, but I can't make any promises.

We are not going to reschedule the event. I admit that finals week was poor planning on our part but as far as I know the fee for the shelter house is non-refundable and we have already posted in a couple locations that the date is this Saturday. The weather will always be an issue no matter when we schedule it, anyway. I hope the Washburn atheists will take a few hours away from their studies, as I will be doing, for free food.

How much of a pain in the arse would it be to reschedule it? I know that some of the Washburn atheists would like to come, but can't because it's finals weekend, and studying kind of abounds.

I suggest we have it regardless of the weather. All we have to do is dress warmly for any outdoor activities. As a human species we are adaptable. Besides I need to condition myself for the trip to Mars!

Good news, bad news. The notice for this event appeared in Monday's paper, announcing free burgers & dogs to anyone attending. The really bad news, is the revised weather forecast. High of 48, with rain & SNOW! I think we'd better cancel, and possibly reschedule for a later date. Opinions?

At least you tried. I posted the meeting on the Washburn atheist group. I will also present a paper at the Sunsay general meeting.

It appears that I missed the 7 day advance notice deadline for posting the invite in the Sunday Paper. Maybe it'll appear Wednesday, but who knows?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
