Mississippi Gulf Coast Atheist and Freethinking Association Monthly Meetup

We meet at Harmony Hall.
[masked]th Avenue, Gulfport MS 39501
(North off Pass Road, about 1/3 mile East of Hwy 49)

We are now affiliated with American Atheists, thanks to Mims for doing the groundwork.  How about other affiliations?  American Humanists Association (AHA)?  Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF)?  Other suggestions?

The MS Gulf Coast Humanists has welcomed our group to their meetings, and vice versa, and many of us have joined both groups, so there's not  much need to affiliate with AHA.

However we have been a MeetUp group, with their database keeping our email list and sending automatic reminder messages, and the Humanists have been a FaceBook group which needs someone to post announcements and a reminder to look at that Internet page.  We'll see how those utilities compare in the long run.

Any other ideas for program? For future meetings?

Call or e-mail me with suggestions.

Ten people sitting in a circle and nobody saying anything--that's a meet-up...or a seance? For me, this meet-up is no longer cost effective. Doubtful if I return in September.

As always, vital discussions on a variety of topics. A half-dozen people stayed after potluck dinner, some to seven pm!
