HumanLight Winter Solstice Celebration

December 23, 2012 Celebrate HumanLight!


Join HAGP and the Ethical Humanist Society of Philadelphia (EHSOP) in celebrating reason, compassion, and hope at our HumanLight Party. This year festivities take place on Sunday, Dec. 23rd at the EHSOP's building, 1906 S Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA.

Please Note: The EHSOP has its traditional Winter Solstice service from 11am-noon, followed by a coffee and snack hour. The service includes music, readings, and the sharing of candles to bring back the light. The EHSOP extends an invitation to any members of HAGP who would like to attend this service before the HumanLight event.


HumanLight Party Schedule:


1:30PM Doors open, Emcee Martha Knox welcomes all, and lunch buffet begins
Cantabile provides live music during a portion of the lunch hour
Candle lighting and song: These Three Flames

2:15PM Dedication to Joe Fox, co-founder Human Light
2:30PM Keynote Address by Ethical Humanist Society of Philadelphia leader Hugh Taft-Morales
2:50PM Wondergy presents CoolScience
3:50PM Closing and Humanlight song


Price: Tickets, which include the luncheon, are $20 for adults. People under 15 are admitted FREE if accompanied by an adult. Lunch for adults is gourmet sandwiches (choice of meat or vegetarian) and children enjoy a pizza buffet. Purchase tickets online by utilizing this link --> http://www.hagp.org/humanlight/. Make a note when you check out whether you want the meat or vegetarian option.
If you would prefer to make a reservation and pay by check, write a check for the number of adult tickets and mail it in with a note saying how many adult and children attending to HAGP, P.O. Box 161, Willow Grove, PA.
