On the Lighter Side, Award-Winning Comic

Harrison Greenbaum Performs

You don’t think it could happen here, but the facts are, persecution of Atheists by religious extremists can happen anywhere. In 2013, some 84 Atheist bloggers in Bangladesh were targeted by their government. One was killed; others were beaten, persecuted and jailed for saying they did not believe in Allah.

One of those 84 bloggers managed to escape to America. “Blogger X” (we cannot reveal his name due to the risk of exposing him to violence or death, even here) has agreed to come and share with us his courageous attempt to live freely and speak his mind. He is applying for political asylum in the U.S. but at the moment, his fate here is uncertain.

American Atheists and NYC Atheists helped organize a protest for these Atheists in 2013. Two of the Godless Revival co-founders were participants in that protest.

On Sunday, Godless Revival brings you Blogger X in person, on our stage. He is a dedicated Atheist who has put his life on the line for his beliefs and for his hopes to express his beliefs “without being hunted like an animal.”

Katie Couric's Warm-Up Comic Performs

Featured as the warm-up comic for ABC’s Katie, the Katie Couric show, Harrison Greenbaum is one of Comedy Central’s comics, and the winner of the Andy Kaufman Award.  Talented comedian Harrison Greenbaum is known as “the hardest-working man in comedy” (NY Daily News) and “one of the most unique acts you’ll ever see” (AM New York).

And More Fun...

"Angry Atheist" Lee Moore will de-baptize those eager to get that ritual out of their system; Atheist Trivia returns with more free secular prizes and Don Albert leads “Jehovah's Favorite Choir,” performing songs that folks know and love.  The Godless Revival is hosted by American Atheists NY Regional Director, the popular, feisty Michael Dorian.

And don’t forget the AfterLife Party following the show on the exquisite Manhattan rooftop bar.  Come and join the festivities!  Show your support for the courageous young “Blogger X.”  Give a big hand to our Atheist comic, Harrison!  It’s Sunday, folks, time to let your hair down, forget the outside world and mingle with your Atheist friends in an atmosphere of friendly camaraderie and shared understanding.

Join us,  once a month, for the good times and laughter with your fellow nonbelievers! We godless are here and we're not going away!
