Being an atheist is central to who I am. I'm very glad to discover this group and I look forwarding to meeting like-minded people!
Another fascinating meeting with smart, thoughtful people. Nothing better than being in a room full of Atheists!
Tonight’s meeting has been postponed due to the weather. Please come to our next meeting, Thursday, February 20, 6-9 PM at Moonstruck East Restaurant, 449 Third Avenue, southeast corner of East 31st Street, in the upstairs private room. Hi Jan, Please come to our next meeting, Thursday, Jan. 23, 6:30-9 PM at Moonstruck East Restaurant, 449 Third Avenue, southeast corner of East 31st Street, in the upstairs private room. We will enjoy a presentation by Dr. Sheldon Solomon, one of America's most respected social psychologists, who will discuss a number of social issues, particularly concerning the environment, violence, and inequality. I think you will enjoy Sheldon; he is an outstanding presenter. I look forward to seeing you.
Hi Jan. Interesting quote. I feel that most healthy thinking is merely the application of prejudices. Telling people to stop being prejudiced often boils down to a command to stop thinking at all.
