When Bad Things Happen to Good People,
Are You Resilient?
Do you have the ability to overcome challenges of all kinds--trauma, tragedy, personal crises, plain old life problems--and bounce back stronger, wiser and more personally powerful? That’s what resilience is--the ability to adapt, stretch and grow despite temporary setbacks.
As Atheists, we do not resort to prayer, going to church, blaming god or waiting for retribution in the afterlife. We deal with life’s challenges in the here and now and learn from them.
In the February 13th “Living With Atheism” New York City Atheists’ support group, we will examine ways of dealing with life’s challenges in a logical, reasonable and practical way that can help you move on with your life as a wiser and more effective person.
WHAT: RESILIENCY! RESPONDING
TO LIFE’S CHALLENGES IN
A POSITIVE WAY. An Atheist
support group led by
Linda Blaikie, L.C.S.W.
WHEN: Wednesday, February 13, 2013
WHERE: MOONSTRUCK DINER
449 Third Ave. at 31st St.
COST: Free to NYC Atheists’ members
but participants are expected to
purchase food/drink to compensate
Moonstruck for use of the space.
New York City Atheists Inc. is a 501C not-for-profit educational association dedicated to
the separation of church and state and to promoting the Atheist lifestyle and values.
