Sorry we missed you, Ron. We had our banner in the middle of the area by the tables but they asked us too move. And I can understand them because the event has sponsors that actually paid to have their tents and banners displayed in that area. We ended up placing the banner on a table at the end of the circuit so that all the walkers saw it as they crossed the finish line.

They've asked us to move to the right of the entrance - our banner distracts from the other sponsors.

Sorry for the late update, but I will be unable to attend due to a family wedding. Big thanks to Raul for heading up the cause this year!

My fiance and I would love to do this, especially seeing as cancer runs in my family and I have an undiagnosed tumor, but we are getting married Sunday. We don't have a car, so we would be HOURS riding the bus and I'd look TERRIBLE at the wedding. :(

Sorry to spam you - I'm just trying to make sure or group shows stronger numbers for this event. Raising money for cancer patient support and reserach is a vey worthy cause, but if we show up to this event with a banner and only a handful of us is holding it up, our message of "people can be good without God" may be replaced in peoples's minds with "look at how few people are good without God".

Don't give $ if you can't afford it but please consider the option of just walking with us. It is a grea way to show the religious groups at this event that there are more atheists than they think and that we're not ashamed to come out and say that you can be good without God!

BTW - I will be there around 5:00 PM. Just look for the banner that says: "Don't believe in God? Join the club!
