Atheists in the Pub

  • Skinny Dugan's Pub

Meet fellow atheists at this informal, relaxed gathering occurring every fourth Friday of the month.

Management at Skinny Dugan's has penciled in our group as having a standing reservation in their MEETING ROOM for our Monthly Meetup at the Pub every 4th Friday of the month at 7 P.M. so we're good to go!! People can order on separate checks as they wish. The only caveat is that I ask you to RSVP by the previous Monday evening so I can write Skinny's and give them some idea of the crowd we are expecting so please, please do get back to me ASAP. Also note: THIS IS NOT A FORMAL DISCUSSION TYPE MEETING SO PLEASE DO NOT COME EXPECTING LARGE GROUP INTERACTION. This is just a chance for us to get to know each other better on a personal level, though Atheist discussions commonly break out amongst small groups. However, that is not at all necessary and I do hope to see many of you there!

Happy hour ends at 7pm, so get there in time for half-off domestic beers, appetizers and pizzas.

Cheers, heathens!

Hey everybody, I'll see you at Skinny Dugans! Today I want to float an idea to everybody that might make next month's "Atheists in the Pub" a ton of fun! See you there!

HEADS-UP: Policy change for the Skinny Dugan's meeting room is that anything ordered from the waiter working the room goes on one bill with an automatic 18% gratuity. Loophole: You are okay to get your drinks from the bar yourself and bring them in to the room to avoid the hassle of partial paying a room bill.

I didn't want to upset the manager by prying so I don't know exactly what prompted the change. It's their business and I'm just thankful they're not charging us a room rental/usage fee. It would be great if someone knows of a place that can accommodate 30 people and doesn't cost us a rental/usage fee.

We'll see how it goes today, seems like our server will be reluctant to give up all that gratuity when everybody starts going to the bar to order.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
