August 3rd HUUmanist Forum at 12 noon - Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas
Lori Fazzino's talk "Religious Morality and Irreligious Morality - What is the Difference?" is about the conflict between believers and non-believers in claiming the right to define what is morality. Remember moral majority? Lori will discuss the impact of culture and moral norms in the codification of laws. She will explain how individuals come to construct their sense of morality, regardless of world views and how global citizens get their morality in a diverse information-mediated society? Lori Fazzino is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at UNLV.
