All Greater Boston Humanists, Atheists, Free-Thinkers, Non-Theists, Skeptics, and other varieties of freethinker are invited to the Greater Boston Humanists annual SUMMER PICNIC.

Hosted this year at the home of the Barbara & Joe Gerstein. All are welcome to join us for this buffet and barbecue, followed by a brief talk titled "Humanism in the Antipodes: Why and How Australia and New Zealand Elect Atheist/Agnostic Prime Ministers While Any Hint By A US Politician Of Christian Non-Orthodoxy Invites A Trip To The Political Graveyard."

Bring a hearty appetite! If you'd like to contribute to the potluck, call Tom Ferrick at[masked] and let him know whether you would like to bring an appetizer, salad, dessert or drink. Beer and Soft Drinks will be provided as will a variety Of grilled meat entrees, plus vegetarian and vegan entrees. Various types of game equipment will also be available.

Various people have volunteered to do ride-sharing; if you don't have access to a car, leave a comment below so we can try to arrange a ride with pickup from the Riverside MBTA Station or Kendall Green Commuter Rail stop in Weston.

Parking is somewhat limited immediately outside the home; please leave spaces close to the condo for the elderly or infirm. The able-bodied are asked to drop off any passengers and gear, and then park in the Curling Club parking lot adjacent.

In case of meteorological inclemency, a decision as to postpone to Sunday will be made not later than 10 AM Saturday. There is adequate internal space, so the picnic will take place on Saturday, in case of rain on Saturday and a prediction of rain on the Sunday. Call[masked] for a weather update if in doubt, or[masked]-5093.
