Since the demise four years ago of our first haunt, The Malt River Brewing Company, we've lusted for another Latham location, for the convenient gathering of our Albany, Schenectady, Troy and even Saratoga contingents. Scarboroughs' is situated just off Route 7, in a treed greensward behind Peter Harris Plaza, and fills that bill. It has a nice, spacious outdoor deck, where we'll be seated (under sun umbrellas) if the weather is fair on this summer solstice day. So don your best Druid robes, or maybe shorts and a T-shirt (flip-flops optional), and join your snarky, dogma-disabused friends for a light-hearted evening of drinks, pub food and faithless fellowship. There'll be lots to talk about. Like maybe how a new study estimates that US governments subsidize churches to the tune of AT LEAST $71 BILLION WITH A "B", ANNUALLY, and three other studies show that non-believers are more empathetic and generous than believers. And we'll plot future adventures, too. A hike and a movie night appear to be in the offing. Be there and be part of the happening.

Yowza! We have 25 confirmed and 3 maybes between the two sites, and still two more days to sign up. All your rowdy friends will be there, so you better come!

Just to be clear, in the event of rain, we do have Scarboroughs' private room reserved, so be assured that bad weather will not prevent the human sacrifice Don is planning.

First arrivals will stop briefly at the bar, but sunshine means we'll be on the deck pretty quick. Look for us there.
