We must reach out and get our point of view heard: 1. Evolution instead of intelligent design and creationism 2. Science instead of superstition 3. Separation of church and state. Joining this group is a good start.

These are the seven commandments I mentioned at the meeting 4/18/2012. The Seven Laws of Noah According to traditional Judaism, G-d gave Noah and his family seven commandments to observe when he saved them from the flood. These commandments, referred to as the Noahic or Noahide commandments, are inferred from Genesis Ch. 9, and are as follows: 1) to establish courts of justice; 2) not to commit blasphemy; 3) not to commit idolatry; 4) not to commit incest and adultery; 5) not to commit bloodshed; 6) not to commit robbery; and 7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal. These commandments are fairly simple and straightforward, and most of them are recognized by most of the world as sound moral principles. Any non-Jew who follows these laws has a place in the world to come.

There are so many smart and knowledgeable people in this group. It is always so nice to sit an talk with like-minded people. Gil and Phil are such an asset to the group. I had a very enjoyable evening and was super jazzed to hear about Trina's trip to the Atheists convention. So glad our group is growing!

We are sure that this would be a very enjoyable group for freethinkers in the appropriate setting, where we could hear each other speak. Trina gave a good descrption of the American Atheists Convention in Atlanta. We enjoyed hearing about her interview with Richard Dawkins.
