Science on Screen -- DUNE

David Lynch's adaptation of Frank Herbert's cult science fiction novel is the starting point for a talk by UConn professor Peter Turchin. Professor Turchin will be discussing population biology and cliodynamics, the new scientific discipline located at the intersection of historical macrosociology, cliometrics, and mathematical modeling of social processes.
