Hey, it can be a lonely world out there for an atheist. This a place to find out that you are NOT alone.

It was a good first time meeting with fellow free-thinkers living in my area. We will most likely attend again in the future.

Let's keep this thing going. And remember, there is an oasis for those who hunger and thirst for piou skepticism so you don't have to live with a parched mind. Plus, thank heavens I no longer have to feel alone and rejected for being a skeptic and atheiest because I read at http://www.skeptic.com that Aliens believe in skeptics and especially revere human skeptics whom they say should be considered by ordinary earthlings to be rare national treasures. I have to reciprocate and say that I now believe in Aliens but with a degree of skeptical reservations, of course.

  •  If Meetup is going to start charging $20/mo., which is insane considering what you can get for free at Yahoo, say, and when you consider that you can easily host your own website complete with mailing lists for less than that a month, then I'm inclined to say that members of this group should join Atheist Community of Austin. They have three regular meetings a week, and if we want to keep a separate monthly meeting going on, I'd be surprised if they were unwilling to promote it. If being separate from ACA is important to people, then maybe a Yahoo group would be the answer?
