opal divine's on south congress at penn field has a gigantic patio with shaded areas and water-misters. i think it could easily accomodate a large, unorchestrated group of patrons. i don't think the w. 6th street location can be as accomodating. opal's has a food menu that's reasonably priced, a full bar, a limited wine list, and tons of beer. they have parking. it's kid and dog friendly.

**or**

the dog and duck pub on 17th and guadalupe. able to accomodate large, unorchestrated groups, but no liquor, lots of beer, and highly questionable wine selection. the menu is pretty standard pub fare. and they have parking. no dogs, most kids.

**or**

the long branch inn on east 11th street. hungry people would have to order a pizza or chinese or 'eat-out-in' to be delivered, but LBI has full bar, reasonable wine list, nice beer selection, a patio, and parking, and takes dogs. no kids.

**or**

Torchey's the airstream on Bouldin Creek. large shaded picnic tables and exceptional tacos and guacamole. NO BAR. i have brought my own bottle of wine in the past and they've been accomodating, but i don't know the law or rules about this. it's a great place for dogs or kids. there's parking right there, and parking in a huge lot directly across the street. (if it really is legal that they allow folks to bring their own beer/wine/thermos of margaritas/whatnot -- this place could be MAGICAL this fall.)

CHRIS HILTON/ORGANIZER: i happened to have snagged a business card from Torchy's Taco's. it has Michael Rypka as owner/president, and then this phone number:[masked] and this email: [address removed]
and the 1207 S. 1st ph.# as 512.366.0537.
if this sounds like an interesting location to you then it behooves the meet up to find out the legality of everyone bringing their own wine/beer/thermos o' moonshine. like i said -- i have brought a bottle of wine with me before --- but this may have been sort of overlooked... i wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble.

so there are my ideas.
looking forward to the meetup.
